General purpose polystyrene (GPPS)

GPPS is a clear polymer that shows a high stiffness, good dimensional stability, low specific weight and excellent electrical properties. It offers several advantages over other polymers because of its clarity and ease of processing. It has a relatively low cost. GPPS’s usual uses are toys, rigid packaging, refrigerator trays and boxes, cosmetic containers, lighting devices, audio cassettes and CDs cases.

Application - film, transparent plates
MFI = 2 – 3,8 g/10min (5 kg)
Application - thermoformed articles for food items
MFI = 3,7 - 4 g/10min (5 kg)
Application - thin-walled articles for food products, cosmetics and toys
MFI = 10 - 11 g/10min (5 kg)
